Communications intern with WWF’s Forests Forward programme

Are you a driven communicator? Do you want to help stimulate WWF's work with companies that is generating a positive impact for forests around the world? Apply for an internship at WWF Sweden!

We are looking for an intern for the autumn term who will mainly be involved in supporting communications for our Forests Forward and Forests For Life programmes. Forests Forward is a signature WWF programme for corporate action in support of nature, climate, and people. With over 24 participants including IKEA and HP, and growing fast, the programme’s work includes working with companies on responsible sourcing, sustainable forest management, as well as conservation projects in forest landscapes around the world.

During the internship you will get experience with content and narrative creation, including planning and writing stories, compiling newsletters and reports and social media posts. As well as with coordinating strategic communications projects, analytics, and organising webinars/events. Proficiency with graphics (e.g. InDesign, Canva) and video is a welcome bonus.

We are looking for someone who is curious and enjoys getting stuck in. You’ll get the chance to develop an amazing set of experiences as a communications officer and be embedded in a friendly, professional, and dynamic international team.

Desirable qualifications

  • Skilled communicator and a great writer (in English)
  • Precise, proactive and a fast learner
  • Creative and solutions-oriented
  • Experience with social media, especially LinkedIn
  • Preferably competent with graphics and video editing
  • Passionate about sustainability and the environment, preferably with an understanding and interest in topical biodiversity and climate issues
  • Excellent oral and written proficiency in English (Swedish not necessary, but helpful)
  • Studying at a relevant university or higher education institution, preferably specialising in communications
